CELEBRITY ENGAGEMENT RINGS

In times of uncertainty, we turn to those who've had previous experience to gain insight and inspiration. Such is especially true when it comes to the design of your engagement ring, and who better to turn to than those who won't settle for anything but the absolute best? Today we're going to show you how to recreate a few of the most celebrated celebrity engagement ring designs with Lauren B's handmade, custom settings paired with some of our favorite stones for a truly eye catching combination. Keep in mind that we can recreate any of these rings exactly to accommodate any budget or timeline!

1. Pippa Middleton: Asscher Cut Diamond

Pippa's stunning 3 carat Asscher cut diamond sits snugly in a 1920's art deco  channel set octagon halo design of round brilliant diamonds. The Asscher cut diamond was made popular in the early 1900's by Joseph Asscher and is a type of step cut diamond that's more square in shape but offers 4 uniquely placed elongated facets moving across the 4 corners of the diamond toward the center. These 4 facets give a bit of sparkle to the step cut that the emerald doesn't have- making it a unique diamond choice.
Lauren B's take:
We can create a channel set deco halo for any stone, and as we make our settings by hand each time, each halo will look simply perfect! Choose round brilliants or little step cut baguettes to make your antique halo really pop.  Contact us today to recreate this design to suite your budget!

2. Victoria Beckham- Marquise Cut Diamond

It's no secret that Victoria Beckham has over 10 engagement rings, but we're going to focus on one of our favorites- her stunningly simple Marquise cut diamond ring! This 3 carat marquise is set in 14K yellow gold with 4 delicate yellow gold prongs on a plain round band. The Marquise cut dates back to the 18th century when King Louis XV had this diamond cut created as it was inspired by one of his lover's. Truly a romantic story and shape, the marquise is one of the lesser known but most interesting diamonds in engagement jewelry. Check out of previous blog post on the marquise cut diamond history!
Lauren B's take:
Here we have a take on Victoria's ring, a marquise cut diamond delicately set in a handmade 14K rose gold setting featuring micro pave diamonds on the band and 6 prongs. For those who just need this ring, we can make it with a plain band, 4 prongs and in any color 14K gold or platinum.  Contact us today to recreate this design to suite your budget!

3. Irina Shayk- Green Oval Emerald

Irina's ring is truly spectacular and features a less traditional center stone- a rich green emerald surrounded by pear cut brilliant white diamonds and all set in 14K yellow gold. Emerald's may not be as hard as diamond, but they do stand out just the same in the right design! This ring has an antique vibe that won't be going anywhere as colored stones are on the rise in engagement jewelry.
Lauren B's take: We used a GIA certified elongated Tsavorite cushion cut center stone in this beauty which is surrounded by colorless round brilliant diamonds of 4 different sizes. Custom designing the halo to feature different sized stones is a sure fire way to give your ring a unique and antique look that will draw all the attention!

4. Blake Lively- Oval Cut Diamond

We aren't done with colored stones quite yet! Fewer things are more beautiful than Blake Lively's 12 ct. light pink oval cut diamond ring, set atop a delicate 14K rose gold micro pave set band. Our clients can't get enough of the oval cuts, and we can blame them as this elongated shape is soft and spready- appearing larger than it's carat weight.
Lauren B's take:
If you're looking for something light pink, we recommend working with a beautiful Morganite stone which is known for its blush light pink and salmon hues. Fancy pink diamonds costs hundreds of thousands per carat so a morganite semi precious gem is an awesome alternative offering you that pinkish tone.
For a more traditional, bright, and sparkling route, check out our oval cut diamonds set in rose, yellow, white gold or platinum. We also love the two tone setting design which features white prongs and a rose or yellow gold band. This makes the diamond blend perfectly with the prongs so you don't see any metal contrasting from the top! This is also a good idea to keep a diamond of high color (D-E-F color) looking bright and white.

5. Amal Clooney- Emerald Cut Diamond

Emerald cut diamonds have made a huge resurgence in the engagement world! Amal Clooney's 3 stone ring design featuring a 7 ct. emerald cut diamond flanked by two tapered baguettes is such a classic choice and certainly suits her style. The emerald cut diamond is known for its understated elegance and unique elongated facets. If you're looking for something that sparkles this won't be your go to, however it still attracts plenty of attention due to it's deco looking design.
Lauren B's take:
We will always love the 3 stone design which is why always have a handful in our collection! Mostly paired with step cut baguette side stones, a 3 stone design can be designed to feature any accenting diamond shape such as pear, oval triangle, trillion or round. Contact us today to recreate this design to suite your budget! Have any other special ring favorites?
