In-stock items ship within three business days. For custom orders, we’ll contact you when the item is ready to arrange a convenient delivery date. Orders under $10,000 are shipped via UPS or FedEx second-day air, while those over $10,000 are sent via next-day air. We’ll provide a tracking number once shipped, and each item is fully insured until delivery, which requires the recipient’s signature. Please note, Lauren B is not responsible for shipping delays due to severe weather or other unforeseen conditions. In-store pick up is also available for any item purchased online or in-person. See below for domestic rates.

Return/Exchange Policy

Return Policy

If you are not satisfied with your purchase at Laurenbjewelry.com, standard in-stock items may be returned or exchanged within 10 days of the first delivery attempt. The merchandise must be in original condition; we do not accept refunds for products showing any signs of wear or damage. In addition, we do not allow returns or exchanges on any altered items. These would include custom sizing, engraving, and rhodium polishing, and special orders – essentially, any items that we do not usually keep in stock or that have to be custom-made.  At Lauren B, we are confident that you will be thrilled with your jewelry; however, if the item is not to your liking or specifications, we feel that 10 days is enough time to evaluate it.  For credit card purchases over $7500, there is a 4% re-stocking fee to process the return.

Custom-made or specially ordered pieces (including engagement rings and wedding bands) are created especially for and based on, the exact requirements of each individual client and therefore may not be returned or exchanged. If a loose diamond or gemstone is added to a custom ring design and production begins, it becomes a non-refunable custom order. Please be aware that any required structural changes to a jewelry item based on a discrepancy between a predetermined custom design and the resulting item must be returned for alterations within a 60-day period from the date of completion in order to waive any affiliated correctional fees. Any design change requests regarding a custom-created jewelry item received after 60 days may incur additional fees, pending further evaluation by management and/or our customer service department. (Please note that this does not apply to alterations covered under the manufacturing warranty detailed below.)

To refund an in-stock item, you must first speak with a representative at Lauren B to obtain a return authorization number. Without a return authorization number, the item will be shipped back to the sender. Your return package should include the item, along with any packaging and documents that came with it. Go to your local post office or carrier, have the item fully insured for the purchase price, and ship it to our address at Lauren B Contact Us. Please note that Lauren B cannot be responsible for any shipping charges or insurance fees on refunded items. Ask for a return receipt for confirmation that your shipment has reached us. For security purposes, do not write the word 'jewelry' anywhere on the outside of the box.

Once the item is received by Lauren B, our quality assurance department will inspect the merchandise. After the item is verified, we will issue a refund in the same way payment was made. Please allow up to five business days upon our receipt of the returned item for this process to take place.

Center Diamond Upgrade Policy

All GIA-certified natural earth mined diamonds purchased from Lauren B are eligible for a credit amount of up to to 100% of the purchase price for the diamond alone, based on current market conditions.   That amount must go towards a new diamond that is at least double in value or more.  Since we continually restock our inventory, a minimum three-year period is required before we are able to accept your trade-in. The natural diamond you are trading in must be first inspected by our gemologists to ensure it is in original condition and be accompanied by the original diamond certificate and sales receipt. If the current ring setting can still be used we will mount your new diamond at no additional cost, however we will not be able to accept it as part of the trade-in. Lab diamonds, moissanites, precious and semi-precious center stones are ineligible for upgrade.  Should you require a new setting, we can offer to place a CZ in the center of your old one so you can use it as a travel ring.

FORMS OF PAYMENT 

Lauren B Jewelry accepts all major credit cards, checks, bank wire transfers, and PayPal. Upon receiving any deposit or full payment, your sales associate will e-mail you an official store receipt with all the details of your purchase including center diamond specifications, ring setting information, and amounts paid/balance due.

Credit card: We accept all major credit cards in-store, or online via a secured credit card authorization form sent through Adobe Sign. We keep the details of your credit card secure and no additional charges will be applied to the credit card without your full approval.

Personal or certified bank checks: Please allow seven full business days for personal checks to clear before any items can be shipped. All checks should be made payable to “Lauren B” and addressed to: Lauren B Jewelry 608 5TH Avenue, Third Floor, New York, NY 10020

Bank wire transfer is the preferred method of payment. We provide you with our full account details upon request and transfers usually take between one to five business days to process.

PayPal electronic invoices can be created the same day and sent directly to your e-mail address. IT is also available as a checkout option on our website.

Apple Pay is offered on our mobile website for a seamless checkout process.

FINANCING OPTIONS

Affirm: Flexible payment options are offered from three to 24 months, and rates as low as 0% APR. You can select the monthly repayment plan that works best for you; available online at checkout or in-store.

Wells Fargo: We offer 6 or 12 months of special financing through Wells Fargo. The amount you are approved for is subject to credit approval and is only available for US residents. You can apply for this in-person at our showroom, or online.

Layaway plans

We offer in-house 6 and 12 month layaway plans; the item must be paid in full in order to be picked up in-store, or delivered to you. Diamond and metal prices fluctuate and our inventory of finished rings and loose diamonds changes frequently so this will guarantee you the item you want at the current price. This option is only available directly through a design consultant and not through our website. The product originally selected cannot be exchanged for another item

  • 6 Month Layaway Plan: A 25% deposit is required in order to secure the item and create your order. 50% of the total balance must be paid within three months time or your payment will be forfeited. If the full balance is not paid within 6 months your order will turn in a 12 month layaway and a one time 8% fee will be added to your total. If after 12 months the entire balance is not fulfilled, 30 days notice will be given and your deposit will be forfeited and item returned to our inventory.
  • 12 Month Layaway Plan: There is a one time 8% fee that is added to this plan. A 25% deposit is required in secure the the item for you and create your order. 50% of the total balance must be paid within six months time or your payment will be forfeited. If after 12 months the entire balance is not fulfilled, 30 days notice will be given and your deposit will be forfeited and item returned to our inventory.

Payment Terms

Please note that all custom made and in-stock orders are required to be picked up and paid in full no later than 6 months following the original date of purchase. After 6 months, we will provide you with 30 days notice to fulfill payment and receipt of the item. If you have previously selected a layaway plan option with your design consultant, it will be noted on your order and honored as such. Otherwise, your payment(s) is nonrefundable and the item will be placed into our inventory after the allotted time has passed.

Taxes

A sales tax of 8.875% is only collected on orders pick up in-store or shipped to addresses within New York state.  For orders shipped abroad, the client is responsible for local duties and taxes which typically range from 10% to 20% of the purchase price

CUSTOM DESIGN

The Work Order is the blueprint of your jewelry design and is used as the reference for the creation of your special order. It is imperative that clients take note of any preferences or requirements on the work order such as their finger size, metal color etc. Items not mentioned on the work order will not be implemented into the final product.

We will take into consideration any client preferences towards their designs, however hard specifications for jewelry design such as stone size, mm size, height measurements, or other specs are at the discretion of our master jeweler to deliver the best final results.

CADs are available upon request once a 50% deposit has been placed. Approved CAD details will be updated per your work order and require exact confirmation prior to starting production. Your design consultant will be your guide so be sure to relay any questions, concerns, and design requests to them in a timely manner so that they may be addressed prior to producing your final piece. Their expertise is invaluable to helping you every step of the way!

Production time is based on an estimate that may be surpassed or finished more quickly based on other circumstances. Expedited completion is available at an additional cost.

For those able to visit our New York store during any point of the purchasing process, a design consultant will precisely measure your finger size prior to starting production on the ring(s). For remote clients, we suggest going to a local jewelry store to have your size measured, or using an online measuring tool which we can provide. For local clients we recommend scheduling an appointment so we can accurately measure the ring size before proceeding.

Lauren B offers one-time, complimentary resizing on all engagement rings within the first year of your purchase. For those who are unable to make it into our New York showroom to be resized, we will provide you with an insured reverse shipping label via e-mail. Please allow between 5 to 7 business days for all resizings. Please note that wedding bands or engagement rings with diamonds continuing all the way around are unable to be re-sized.  To learn more please visit here

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY

Lauren B is committed to providing our clients with fine quality craftsmanship and professional expertise; each jewelry purchase comes with an individual warranty card.  

The custom creation process consists of meticulous attention to detail in order to deliver a stunning final product that should be treated with the utmost care to preserve their value and beauty. Prior to delivery each item passes our quality control inspection to ensure it is to our highest standard.

The manufacturing warranty is solely based on the Lauren B master jeweler's evaluation.  Defects are determined upon inspection and specifically include loss of pave, flaws in the metal, and minor prong adjustments. Manufacturing flaws will materialize within the first few months to a year of ownership.  Any issues that arise thereafter are likely a result of wear & tear and/or incidental damage.

This warranty does not include general wear & tear, accidental or incidental breakage, theft, loss, or any damage that our professionals deem is not due to craftsmanship related issues. Reasonable and proper care must be exercised as outlined in our ring care section above;  precious metals and gemstones are not indestructible and require mindful wear and handling.  Also, if the original item has been altered in any way by a third party (jeweler other than Lauren B), the warranty is voided.

Any structural injuries not deemed as manufacturing defects are subject to client out of pocket costs (including shipping) or should be claimed under a personal insurance policy.  Lauren B will work directly with your insurer to recover costs associated with damaged items outside of our manufacturing warranty once an appropriate claim is filed. Not only will this protect you in the case of loss or theft, it will also cover for accidental damage. There are also instances when a ring can be damaged incidentally that it is beyond repair and your insurance will cover the entire cost of a replacement. See below for more on insurance.

Please note that minor variations or irregularities in bespoke jewelry items are not considered manufacturing defects.  Designs are tailored to accommodate specific center stone types, shapes and dimensions which can cause slight design modifications. The LB master jeweler has final discretion as to whether certain design elements are considered structurally feasible and or integral to the resulting product.

INSURANCE

Insuring your jewelry, especially engagement rings and wedding bands, is highly recommended for several reasons. As with anything of value you want to have some level of coverage in case the unexpected happens; loss, theft, or damage. This is especially true for engagement rings and wedding bands which are worn almost every day and have a higher likely hood of being misplaced, stolen or accidentally damaged. Applying for and receiving insurance is a very simple process. All you need is your jewelry appraisal (at Lauren B we provide appraisals on all pieces sold) to obtain an instant quote and get covered. We recommend Jewelers Mutual Insurance Group to offer repair and replacement jewelry insurance on Lauren B. purchases.

Please note that if your jewelry piece, engagement ring, or center-stone gets lost or damaged while in our posession (for re-sizing, repair, to use as a sample, etc) we will take responsibility and replace it with an equivalent item from our inventory.

Free Engraving, Free Gift Wrapping, and Free Written Appraisal

Free Engraving

We offer you engraving and gift-wrapping FREE OF CHARGE with the purchase of any online item. When placing your order, please notify us if you would like to include any of these complimentary services. Please note that engraved items are non-refundable. Also for no additional charge, we will give you an appraisal completed by one of our gemologists. Your appraisal will include an estimated retail value of the item, as well as a written report stating the type, quality, and carat weight of the gemstone, along with the type of precious metal.

In order to comply with FTC regulations as well as industry standards, Lauren B affirms that, for all jewelry items, carat total weight may differ from stated weight by as much as 0.05 carats. In the case of jewelry pieces with multiple diamonds, Lauren B provides a minimum total carat weight. Factors of color and clarity are provided in one of two ways, as a minimum or as an average. The method used depends upon the number of diamonds in the piece under consideration. If a minimum is used, we confirm that all diamonds in the piece meet the stated minimum, in terms of quality grade. If an average is used, we confirm that the diamonds, taken as a group with grades averaged, meet or exceed the stated quality grade. For custom jewelry and wedding band orders, total carat weight may vary based on finger size selected and other customizations.
