Lauren B Engagement Ring Styles Compared featuring Oval Diamonds

In our last post we went over different classic ring styles from our collection such as the pave basket and classic halo. Today we will take a look at some more popular ring styles that make our custom collection unique! This time we will be using oval rings.

Solitaire

First up let’s take a look at the most classic oval rings design which is a solitaire. Solitaire means that there are no diamonds featured on the band at all. For this specific design I picked out a yellow gold ring with white gold prongs. This is what we would call a two tone ring. Any ring is two toned if it features more than 1 color of metal within the ring. In this case we have a mix of yellow gold on the band and white gold on the prongs

Classic Pave Wrap

Now for our most classic pave setting style on an oval we have the RS-217. This features diamonds along the band and along the basket holding up the center stone

Prong to Prong Wrap

The next one we are going to take a look at is our prong to prong pave wrap design. This is a take on our classic pave basket however notice that in this design, the prongs wrap OVER the basket. This is instead of the basket wrapping over the prongs

Invisible Gallery

The invisible gallery ring design such as RS-232 is another take on our classic pave model. This design has the same components of the diamond band and basket however the stems have been removed so the ring sits flatter on the hand. This is great for someone who is more active and does not want their ring sitting too high on their finger

You can compare here how the 2 different rings sit on the hand with the classic designs sitting higher and the invisible gallery laying flatter on the hand.

Split Band

The split band design is definitely the most interesting from the bunch. This model features two rows of diamonds on the band with a split. In terms of the size of the split you can have a tighter split that separates closer toward the top of the stone or like this model it can split further down. Notice that this ring also has the invisible gallery feature as well where the ring sits nice and low on the hand!

Split bands are a really nice option that pair well with elongated stone shapes like oval, pear, and elongated cushion to name a few.  This is great for someone wanting a bit more finger coverage!
