For many of our diamond engagement ring shoppers, $10,000 to $15,000 is a popular price range. We have many finished engagement rings (and can custom make) that fits this price point and this video gives you a peak of what we have to offer.
Typically the center diamonds for these rings would be between 1.2 to 1.8 carats and can vary based on the diamond's quality and the ring design. Of course a higher quality diamond is going to be more expensive so in that regard you would have to sacrifice on size and vice versa if you would opt for one that is lower in quality (but still within an acceptable range). Also, the ring design plays and important factor in the overall price of the ring- if you are going for a simple pave band or solitaire style it will be less costly than our more intricate designs that featuring detailing around, or beneath, the center-stone. If you take both of these factors into account it can give you a better idea of what carat weight center-stone you can reasonably achieve within your intended price range.
